Downtown Trenton is full of entrepreneurs with all kinds of hopes and dreams for their businesses, and the city. Three ambitious business owners—Rob Wilborn Jr., co-owner of Skil-Lit Cafe, Quayshaun Williams, owner of Much Better Studios, and John Dockery, owner of Moja Life —will be the guest speakers at the April 27, 2024, Community Affairs Cafe Conversation, “Entrepreneur Edition.”

While a majority of small businesses never make it to their 10-year milestone anniversary, a number have survived in downtown Trenton for several decades. It’s an important reminder that even as so many businesses come and go, not only in TDA’s special improvement district but also in downtowns across the county, that resilience, vision, quality service and good old-fashioned hard work, still matter.

Seward Johnson was a visionary, artist and philanthropist that established an international community of artists with the Johnson Atelier in Hamilton, NJ, later going on to create Grounds For Sculpture, a 42-acre nonprofit sculpture park, museum, and arboretum on the site of the former New Jersey State Fairgrounds. A wondrous place for interdisciplinary engagement with art, nature, music and dance. A recipient of the International Sculpture Center's 2019 Lifetime Achievement in Contemporary Sculpture Award, Seward passed away at the age of 89 in March of 2020, but the Atelier continues his legacy.

The Levitt AMP Trenton Music Series returned to downtown Trenton in the summer of 2022 with an exciting lineup of talented artists representing a broad range of genres.

As the heart of New Jersey’s state capital, downtown Trenton is full of cultural, recreational and historical attractions as well as government buildings.

What says "Jersey Fresh" more than a local farm stand bursting with color and the freshest fruits and vegetables of the season? We are happy to announce that we are bringing that experience, and all its whole food goodness, to downtown Trenton starting on Thursday, June 16, 2022.
