What says "Jersey Fresh" more than a local farm stand bursting with color and the freshest fruits and vegetables of the season? We are happy to announce that we are bringing that experience, and all its whole food goodness, to downtown Trenton starting on Thursday, June 16, 2022.

For the 2022 season, the Capital City Farmers’ Market (CCFM) will reopen on Thursdays from 11 am to 2 pm as a bountiful farm stand featuring produce from Asprocolas Acres. The farm stand will be located at the corner of South Warren and Lafayette Streets, next to the “Trenton Makes” bridge sculptures on the side of the Trenton Parking Authority Garage. Stop by and say hello to George Asprocolas, whom many of you remember as a long-standing CCFM vendor.

“Farming can be difficult, but I fell in love with it years ago,” says owner George Asprocolas. “I feel a real connection to all of our customers. It's comforting to see a lot of the same people come back and tell their stories. It's like a family. I look forward to coming back to downtown Trenton.”

We are looking forward to his return as well. Year after year, his beautiful displays of delicious foods attracted more and more loyal customers. “People love to come to our markets and take pictures of the food. I have heard people say that we have the best-looking farmers’ markets they have ever seen,” he says. “They also say that we have some of the best food. One woman told me our peppers were the best she had ever had. That makes me feel really good.”

Established in 1992, Asprocolas Acres is a family-run farm in Millstone, N.J. In addition to providing incredibly fresh fruits and vegetables to several farmers’ markets, Asprocolas offers a fruits and vegetables club every March through May. "We have a CSA — we call it a club — for people mostly in our own neighborhood. They come to the farm to pick up their shares. It's extremely local for them."
