Drama and Irony: A Concert by the Capital Philharmonic of NJ

Presented By:
Capital Philharmonic of New Jersey

This concert of classics is a virtual tour through much of the human experience, plus a pre-concert lecture at 6:15 pm in the lower lobby, and Trenton Music Makers pre-concert "curtain rise" at 6:45 pm.

Mozart’s Piano Concerto in D Minor, K. 466begins with a pulsating, anxious theme butends in a playful coda; Beethoven quotes thedies irae but fills his Symphony No. 4 in Bbwith optimistic energy; and Rossini makesfun of it all and warns us not to take ourselvestoo seriously with his overture to The ItalianGirl in Algiers.

Conductor, Sandro Naglia
